Why it is prescribed (Indications) : The combination of nystatin and triamcinolone is used to treat fungal skin infections. It relieves itching, inflammation, and pain.

When it is to be taken : This medication usually is applied twice a day, in the morning and evening. Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor to explain any part that you do not understand.

How it should be taken :
The combination of nystatin and triamcinolone comes in the form of ointment and cream to be applied to the skin. Wash the affected area thoroughly. Apply a small amount of cream or ointment and gently massage it into your skin. If you use this medication

Special Instruction :
1. Use this medication exactly as prescribed. Do not apply it to other areas of your body and do not wrap or bandage the treated area.
2. Do not apply it more frequently than as stated on the prescription label.
3. If your symptoms persist or worsen, contact yoru doctor.
4. Do not apply cosmetis, lotions, or other skin preparations to the treated area without consulting your doctor.
5. If you are using this medication on a child's diaper area, do not place tightly fitting diapers or plastic pants on the child. They can increase the absorption of triamcinolone, which can decrease growth.

Side Effects :

Acne, skin sores, itching, irritation, burning, stinging. Contact your doctor.

Other Precautions :
1. Women who are pregnant
should inform their doctors. Discard any unused medication after your treatment course is completed.
2. Do not save the drug to treat other infections.
3. Do not allow anyone else to use this medication without a prescription, especially children.
4. Children are more sensitive to triamcinolone than are adults, and another person's skin problem may be very different from yours.

Storage Conditions :
1. Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of the reach of children.
2. Store it at room temperature.
