Why it is prescribed (Indications) : In hepataocellular insufficency aspartate and other decarboxylates serve s a stimulus for hepatic glutamine synthesis which may be defective in acute and chronic liver disease.

When it is to be taken : Acute and chronic hepatitis, fatty liver, alcoholic liver damage. Adjunct to hepatotoxic drugs, cirrhosis, hepatitis and post hepatitis convalescence.

How it should be taken : 1-2 tab 3 times daily or 5 ml once daily

Special Instruction :
Contraindications: Serum creatinine levels exceeding 3 mg/100 ml. Safety and efficacy in pregnancy is not established.

Side Effects :
Transient nausea and vomiting

Pregnancy: Safety not estabilshed. Lactation: may be used. Elders: May be used
