Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is prescribed for breast cancer either alone or in combination with other medications. It kills cancer cells.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications) : Premenopausal women and children; hypersensitivity.

When it is to be taken
: Adjuvant therapy for postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive early breast cancer, advanced or locally advanced breast cancer Adult: 2.5 mg once daily.

How it should be taken : Take this medication by mouth, with or without food.

Special Instruction :
1Inform your doctor about severe kidney, liver problem, bone diseases. 2. It may make drowsy. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until knowing its effect. 3. It should only be used by women who have experienced menopause and cannot become pregnant. Inform your doctor about your pregnancy and lactation.

Side Effects :
HEART
Hypertension; chest pain, coronary heart disease, paralysis, strokes, heart attack, fluid accumulation in the lungs, vein inflammation, mini stroke, blood clot in veins.
CNS
Weakness; headache; dizziness; fatigue; sleeplessness; drowsiness; anxiety, depression.
SKIN
Hot flushes; increased sweating; night sweats; rash; hair loss; itching.
EYE AND ENT
Blurred vision.
GI
Nausea; constipation; diarrhea; vomiting; abdominal pain; loss of appetite.
GENITOURINARY
Breast pain; urinary tract infection; kidney disorder, vaginal bleeding, vaginal dryness.
LIVER
Increased liver enzymes.
Metabolic-Nutritional
High level of cholesterol in blood; increased weight; high calcium in blood.
MUSCULOSKELETAL
Joint pain, bone pain; back pain; limb pain; inflammation of joints, muscle pain; fracture; inflammation due to fracture.
RESPIRATORY
Difficulty in breathing; cough; chest wall pain.
MISCELLANEOUS
Swelling of leg; chest pain; infections/infestations; influenza; pain; pleural effusion.

Other Precautions :
Monitor bone mineral density regularly.

Storage Conditions :
Store at 25°C. Store it in air tight container and keep away from children.
