Why it is prescribed (Indications) : It is prescribed for treating certain types blood cancers, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and dermatofibrosarcoma that has spread to other parts of the body, or has come back after surgery

When it is to be taken : Dose varies from 400mg/Day to 800mg/Day depending on condition.

How it should be taken : Available in the form tablets, to take by mouth (orally) with a meal and glass of water (8 oz/240 ml).

Special Instruction :
1. Caution needed in patients with history of high blood pressure; a heart attack; an irregular heartbeat; diabetes; or heart, lung, thyroid, or liver disease; smokers, street drug users, heavy alcohol users. 2. Avoid excess dosage. 3. It may cause diarrhea during your treatment. Consult with your doctor if it does so. 4. Consult with your doctor during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Side Effects :
Heart: Compression of the heart, inflammation of the pericardium, blood clot. Central nervous System: loss of strength, fatigue/lethargy, flu like symptoms ; headache ; dizziness ; depression, sleeplessness ; anxiety ; decreased tactile sensibility, tingling, weakness ; CNS hemorrhage ; swelling of the brain. Skin Rash/desquamation; itching; baldness; sweating; dry skin, redness of the skin, flushing. EENT: Eye edema ; inflammation of the nose and pharynx; increased tears; pharynx and the esophagus pain; runny nose; blurred vision, bleeding in conjunctiva, dry eye, eyelid swelling. Gastro Intestinal: Nausea; diarrhea, vomiting ; abdominal pain ; loss of appetite ; difficulty in swallowing ; constipation ; flatulence ; abdominal distention, dry mouth, gastritis, gastro esophageal reflux ; GI bleeding ; gas, intestinal obstruction, tumor hemorrhage/tumor necrosis. Blood System-Lymphatic: Bleeding; decrease in white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin.

Other Precautions :
Avoid excess dosage. It may affect blood-clot, avoid unusual bruising or injury.

Store at 25°C .Keep in airtight container. Keep away from children.
