Why it is prescribed
(Indications) : After reaching cell nucleus, it binds to progestone receptors and influences transcription of a limited set of genes.

When it is to be taken
: The medication is injected IV. Amenorrhoea: Start treatment atleast 8 weeks after last menstruation. On 1st day, oestradiol valerate 20mg IM, 14 days later oestradiol valerate 10mg with 250mg hydroxy progesterone caproate IM. Habitual abortion: After confirmation of pregnancy, 250-500mg IM at weekly intervals.

How it should be taken : The medication comes in the form of 1ml & 2ml ampoules, 1ml & 2ml injectables.

Special Instruction :
Inform your doctor if you have intro abdominal haemorrhage due to malignant tumors, pregnancy to be excluded in indications other than threatened abortion, diabetes. Also inform your doctor if you have history of herpes of pregnancy & liver tumors.

Side Effects :
Breast enlargement, headaches, skin rash, urticaria and migraine.

Other Precautions :
Use with caution in case of pregnancy. Not applicable in case of lactation. May be used in elderly.

Storage Conditions :

Store at room temperature.
