Fluoxymesterone

Generic Name : Fluoxymesterone

TradeName : Testiviron, Sustanon.

Why it is prescribed (Indications) : Fluoxymesterone is similar to the male hormone testosterone. It is prescribed for males when this hormone is absent or low. It is also used in females with cetain kinds of breast cancer and to prevent breast pain after childbirth.

When it is to be taken : Fluoxymesterone is taken once a day or three or four times a day.Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully.

How it should be taken : Fluoxymesterone comes in the form of tablets. Your prescription label tells you how much to take at each dose.

Special Instruction :
1. Take only the amount of medication prescribed by your doctor.
2. Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboratory. Your doctor will want to evaluate your response to this drug, and you may have periodic X-rays and blood tests.
3. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if you remember a missed dose at the time you are scheduled to take the next one, omit the missed dose completely. Do not take a double dose. Contact your doctor for instructions if you miss more than one dose.

Side Effects :
1. Although side effects from fluoxymesterone are not common, they can occur. Headache; anxiety;depression;tingling, burning, or tight sensations. If these effects are severe, contact your doctor.
2. Nausea, vomiting, change in skin colour, ankle swelling. Contact your doctor.
3. Allergic reaction : skin rash, itching, hives, difficulty breathing. Contact your doctor at once.
4. Irregular or absent menstrual periods, hoarseness, deepening of voice, unusual hair growth, enlargment of external genitals, acne in women. Contact your doctor.
5. Frequent, prolonged, or painful penile erections; breast enlargement in men. Contact your doctor.

Other Precautions :
1. Before you take fluoxymesterone, tell your doctor if you have diabetes or heart, kidney, or liver disease.
2. Men with a history of prostate or breast cancer should inform their doctors.
3. Before you take this drug, tell your doctor if you are allergic to aspirin or tartrazine or if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Fluoxymesterone can harm an unborn baby.
4. Before you take fluoxymesterone, tell your doctor wheat prescription and nonprescription drugs you are taking, especially anticoagulants, diabetes medication, and oxyphenbutazone.
5. Do not allow anyone else to take your medication.

Storage Conditions :
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of the reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from direct light.
