Why it is prescribed (Indications) : It is an effective antimalarial against vivax. and is also useful in preventing relapse.It can be used along with chloroquine to treat malaria and prevent relapse.
When it is to be taken : It is given in conjunction with chloroquine.The treatment is usually for 6 days.
How it should be taken : It is available as capsules and is given orally.
Special Instruction :
To be used with caution in children and during pregnancy and lactation.Other drugs must be given only with doctor's permission.

Other Precautions :
Contraindicaed in rheumatoid arthritis,lupus erythematosus.
