Why it is prescribed : It blocks viral and RNA development.It is used in the treatment of
Chronic Hepatitis B and C.
AIDS related Kaposi's sarcoma.Different types of tumours.
Multiple myeloma and melanomas.
Chronic myeloid and Hairy cell leukemia.

When it is to be taken : The treatment varies for the different conditions.

How it should be taken : It is given as intramuscular or subcutaneous injections.

Special Instruction :

To be used with caution in severe renal or hepatic impairment,diabetes,pregnancy and lactation.The doctor must be informed about other diseases or medications.Blood counts,and renal and hepatic function tests must be monitored regularly.

Side Effects :
Flu-like symptoms,alopecia,nausea,anxiety,rash,confusion.

Other Precautions :
Contraindicated in hypersensitivity.

Storage Conditions :

To be stored under refridgeration.
