Generic Name : Calcium Phosphate

TradeName : hosforid, phostat

Why it is prescribed (Indications) : It ensures the adequate supply of calcium which has been lost in acute renal failure.

When it is to be taken : Take this medication with a large glass of water during or after a meal.If it is a chewable tablet,it must be chewed before swallowing.

How it should be taken : It comes as tablets of strength 667 mgs.

Special Instruction : Inform your doctor if you have a complaint of diarrhoea,stomachache,lung diseases and kidney diseases.

Side Effects : Nausea,vomitting,dry mouth and increased urination are the common side effects.

Other Precautions :
Do not take other medication sfor 2 houirs.

Storage Conditions :
Store at room temperature in a tight container.keep it away from sunlight and moisture.
