Generic Name : Nimesulide

TradeName : Anafebrin,Dolide,Emsulide,N-side,Rebsulide,Zydol

Why it is prescribed (Indications) : It is a potent Non Steroidal Anto-Inflammatory Drug,used for
Moderate pain and fever
Inflammatory conditions.

When it is to be taken : The usual dose is 200mg twice a day.

How it should be taken : It is taken orally as tablets.

Special Instruction :
To be used with caution in elderly people,and renal impairment.
The drug decreases the effect of Beta-blockers and diuretics so the doctor must be informed if these are being taken.

Side Effects :
Nausea,vomiting,diarrhoea,rash,headache.A potentially hazardous side effect is hepatic failure,and renal failure in new borns.

Other Precautions :
Contraindicated in hypersensitivity,peptic ulcer hepatic impairment and third trimester of pregnancy.

Storage Conditions :

Store in cool airtight place
