Generic Name : Flurandrenolide

Why it is prescribed (Indications) : Flurandrenolide is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions.

When it is to be taken : Flurandrenolide is used two or three times a day. Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully.

How it should be taken :
Flurandrenolide comes in the form of ointment, cream, and lotion in various strengths for use on the skin. It also comes in tape to be applied to the skin as a dressing.

Special Instruction :
1. Use flurandrenolide exactly as prescribed. Do not apply it to other areas of your body, and do not bandage or wrap the treated area unless directed to do so by your doctor.
2. Do not apply it more frequently than as stated on your prescription label, and do not use it for a longer period than as instructed by your doctor.
3. Do not apply cosmetics, lotions, or other skin preparations to the treated area without consulting your doctor.
4. If you use this medication on a child's diaper area, do not place tightly fitting diapers or plastic pants on the child ; they can increase drug absorption through the skin, which can decrease growth.
5. If your skin problem continues or worsens or if the treated area gets infected or oozes pus, contact your doctor.
6. Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember it and apply any remaining doses for that day at evenly spaced intervals. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Side Effects :

Although side effects from flurandrenolide are not common, they can occur. Itching, burning, irritation, skin infection. Contact your doctor.

Other Precautions :
1. If you have an infection, inform your doctor before using this medication.
2. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should tell their doctors before using flurandrenolide.
3. Discard any unused medication after your treatment course is completed.
4. Do not use this drug to treat other skin problems.
5. Do not allow anyone else to use this medication without a prescription, especially children. Children are more sensitive to the drug than are adults, and another person's skin problem may be very different from yours.

Storage Conditions :
1. Keep this medication out of the reach of children.
2. Store the cream, lotion, or ointment at room temperature and away from light.
3. Do not allow it to freeze.
4. Keep the container tightly closed.
